Another rolled up sleeve session and another new tune. This time it's a Hornpipe called the 'Flopperty Hornpipe'.
In this video I try to give a little background information about the tune and the way that a Hornpipe is generally played, when playing for dancers.
This might well suit anyone who is learning to play the fiddle, as it's not too fast and has a very strong rhythm or beat throughout the whole tune.
Hornpipes are very good for learning to play a melody across all of the strings as they certainly do move backwards and forwards quite a bit.
