On “My Car Story” we're in Indianapolis IN at The Indianapolis Motor Speedway on 6-11-15.
We’re looking at a 1986 Indianapolis Indy Race Car Indycar March 86C Marlboro # 20.
According to Owner Dave Felgenhauer this car is a dream come true! As a boy his Father used to bring him to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to watch the Indy cars do time trials. In 1999 Dave purchased this car, and by 2008 the car was completed. The first time Dave heard the car start was right here at The Indianapolis Motor Speedway with his Father in attendance. Dave’s Fathers smile of approval when he heard the engine start for the first time was all the approval needed.
This car was driven in the 1986 Indianapolis Race by Emerson Fittipaldi. Emerson Fittipaldi is a Brazilian automobile racing driver who won both the Formula One World Championship and the Indianapolis 500 twice each and the CART championship once.
