🐾 Supporting Dogs for a Better Life 🐾 This event wasn't just about the light-hearted race and the refreshing beers! We're incredibly proud to support Dogs for a Better Life, a phenomenal organization that trains and places autism assistance dogs, hearing dogs, and program assistance dogs nationwide. Many of these fantastic dogs are rescues from shelters across the Western United States, providing them with a second chance while also aiding individuals who need them.
🤝 Bridging Communities Together 🤝 Highlighting unity and camaraderie in the Mid Valley, this event showcases a spirit of cooperation between Corvallis and Albany. Despite geographical boundaries, community good trumps all, and we were thrilled to create something beneficial and enjoyable for everyone involved.
🎉 A Day Filled with Smiles and Sips 🎉 From competitors trekking from far distances to those who haven’t raced in decades, the Albany Beer Run saw a diverse, joyous group of participants. Age is no barrier here, with competitors ranging from young adults to those in their late 80s, all basking in the collective enjoyment of the day.
🎤 Interviews & Insight 🎤 Watch as we engage with participants, discussing everything from their personal racing histories, beer preferences, and the undeniable fun of the day. From those who’ve run marathons to those partaking in their first organized race, every shared moment and laugh was a testament to the spirited nature of the event.
👟 From Casual Walkers to Marathon Runners 👟 Whether it was competitive racers or casual walkers, everyone found a place in the Albany Beer Run. Some participants shared their past racing experiences, contrasting the amusing 0.3-mile beer run with marathons they’ve run in the past.
🍺 Cheers to the Beers 🍺 Let’s not forget the beers that fueled our delightful stroll! From the Wild Beaver to Cracked Barrel, and Belgian doubles, participants enjoyed a diverse array of refreshing brews to quench their thirst after the “grueling” race. 😉
