First time trying Latin South American Food: Colombian Food and Peruvian Food taste test to see how good are they🤔

We felt that Colombian Food and Peruvian food are not really popular and so underrated here in Sydney Australia as there are not many Colombian or Peruvian restaurants and cafe. Hopefully this video will entice you to try both cuisine like we did. Please let us know what cuisine or food should we try next in the comment below!

First stop is Colombian cafe located in Chippendale, near Broadway Shopping Centre in Ultimo called La Herradura Coffee Stable. We ordered the famous Colombian hot chocolate with cheese, this is the ultimate hot chocolate bomb that you must try. For food, we tried the Bandeja Paisa which is national dish of Colombia. Badeja Paisa is the one of the biggest breakfast plate or brunch in Sydney we have eve seen. It comes with rice, avocado, pork belly (Chicharron), arepa, beans, plaintains, fried egg and cassava. Arepa is made from maize dough, we had arepa with cheese inside. We also tried the hearty comfort soup called Sancocho de Gallina, chicken and corn soup served with rice, perfect for winter, rainy weather or when you are not feeling well. Colombian food does taste like comfort home cooked meal with superb friendly hospitality in this Sydney cafe.

Second stop is La Hacienda Peru, a Peruvian restaurant located in Sydney CBD. We tried the Leche De Tigre, which was like smaller portion of Peruvian Ceviche, the famous Peruvian or South American seafood dish that you must try. We ordered Arroz Con Pollo, Peruvian fried rice cooked in cilantro & black beer with chicken. Arroz Con Pollo is a traditional dish of Latin America, closely related to paella. Lastly you need to try Inca Kola in this Peruvian restaurant or if you can find in Latin American or South American grocers. Inca Kola is Peruvian soda that has a sweet, fruity flavour like cream soda or Sprite or lemonade but less gassy.
