The family of Ruby Franke said they are absolutely "heartbroken" after she pleaded guilty to four counts of aggravated child abuse, and expressed concerns for the well-being of the children.
At a hearing on Monday, she also admitted to the findings in the plea agreement which outlined at least four months of physical and emotional abuse.
Franke admitted to physically torturing her children by way of kicking them while she was wearing boots, holding a child’s head under water, and cutting of the children’s oxygen supply by covering their mouths and noses.
