What kind of mushrooms can you grow in a greenhouse? And how do you grow mushrooms in a greenhouse? While we've tried many different varieties of fungi, the only two that seem to regularly produce well are Almond Agaricus and Reishi mushrooms. You can try your hand at others, but most varieties of mushrooms need more drastic temperature and humidity swings to stimulate a crop.
This method is a great way to get a second fruiting out of ready-to-fruit reishi blocks. We recommend only using this method after you have grown out your first fruiting indoors. The time indoors will solidify the outer edges of the blocks, making them better able to withstand a life outdoors once their filter patch bag is removed. Keep in mind that for the purpose of this video we are referring to an unheated greenhouse or high tunnel, not a standard heated and vented system. You can use a heated greenhouse as well and it will extend your growing season even further.
