Nakyal now known as fateh pur thakyala is a tehsil of district kotli in azad kashmir. Ex prime minister and president of azad kashmir sardar sikandar hayat khan belong to nakyal. His father name is fateh muhammad and tehsil name was converted to fateh pur thakyala on his father name. Residents of this area are mostly thakyal.
