We took a break from working on the land to join our friends on a boat ride through the Golfo Dulce... and, this day left me speechless!
I've seen whales twice so far on the paddleboard, both times with no camera. This time I was able to get some beautiful footage. We saw eight whales including a couple of mothers with their calves!! Not to mention the biggest pod of dolphins I've ever seen!
I am so beyond grateful to be living along these protected waters and that I have the opportunity to share space with some of the most majestic beings on our planet. I seriously feel like I am living in a dream!!

The Golfo Dulce is such a sacred, special spot on this Earth! Humpback whales from both the arctic and antarctic migrate to THIS SPOT to give birth to their young, to raise them, and to mate, before their long voyage home. In addition to this, the Golfo Dulce is a place where hammerhead sharks travel by way of an underwater mountain range that connects to Costa Rica's Cocos Island some 300+ kms off the coast to give birth to their young. It also has important nesting spots for sea turtles, and over 200 species of fish! We are so blessed to be living in this jewel, in this paradise! I can feel big things for me in the future working with conservation groups to help continue to protect this place!
