Laura Horan overcame homelessness and personal challenges in her early life and studied hard for her Leaving Certificate. DCU’s Access Programme helped to make university a real possibility for her.
In this video, she explains how the support of the DCU Access Programme helped her to thrive in DCU, to find her voice and to help others experiencing homelessness and disadvantage.
DCU’s Access Programme encourages young people from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds to consider third level education as a viable option and provides the necessary personal, financial and academic supports to help them complete their course of study.
