Chasma Barrage is barrage in Mianwali, which is built on the Indus river and situated in the southwest of Mianwali at about 30-35km from the main Mianwali city.
Its construction was started in 1967 and completed in 1971 by a french company. This Barrage is very useful for irrigation purposes as it caters to the needs of Mianwali district and other neighboring districts as well.
This Barrage is not only useful for irrigation but also for the fish food as well. The fish food of this barrage is supplied in Mianwali and other parts of Pakistan as well.
