First hand experiences from Hortipower and Research Centre Hoogstraten on using the PATS-C service for moth pest monitoring.
Hortipower - a tomato grower in Belgium - has been using PATS-C to automate the monitoring of Tuta absoluta and Tomato looper pests in their crop. Research Centre Hoogstraten has validated the PATS-C results in both a small research compartment with tomato plants and the production environment of Hortipower. Their results show the rapid and earlier detection of specifically Tuta absoluta with PATS-C, compared to conventional scouting methods.
