This is another of our very nice pine marriage chest's we have recently sourced. This is a particularly old chest dating from 1799. It would have been made and painted as a wedding gift, the initials of the newly weds is still visible in the original paintwork! The original hinges are some of the best example's we have seen in these chest's. It is excellent condition for its age!
Ever popular with our customers these make a nice alternative to a window seat or coffee table. It could also be used as a toy box, or at the end of a bed to store linen and blankets.
