A brief message for the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi -- In addition to Francis's love of animals, care for creation, and solidarity with the poor, we should remember that Francis was also an ordinary person like you and me who sought only to live his baptismal vocation and changed the church and world in the process. St. Francis serves as a model for what it means to live the Gospel -- May we also be open to responding to that call! Happy Feast Day!
