MY ENDORSEMENT: Kathy Tyers is a New York Times best-selling writer with an impressive career. Her previous works include two novels in the Star Wars franchise. So, it's no surprise that her mastery of the storytelling craft shines through in this incredibly well-rounded science fiction epic. Her world-building is superb, and her conceptual material is ingenious. This novel sits comfortably between hard and soft sci-fi. The theme of faith was subtly woven throughout the work in a tasteful way. Whether the reader is Christian or otherwise, sci-fi lovers can enjoy this book. Firebird gets my full endorsement for adult science fiction fans.
