Phew made it! With a lot of patience anxiety and stress, this model ended up being approximately 50% vac form and 50% scratch built. Lots of modifications and scale upgrades were needed to bring the model to the standard required. 11 cooling veins have been fitted instead of 9 (due to my overheating temperament during manufacturing) these were made from a plastic knitting needle (see photo) also the 4 jet covers at the rear of the vehicle made from the points of a plastic knitting needle.
All the jet pipes are aluminium tubes and a plastic skid undercarriage fitted (the wings as per previous post). The cockpit is not exactly like the original Supercar but a reasonable impression due to the limitations of the vac mouldings.
This project would have come to a complete standstill without the help of a wonderful gentleman (Mr Simon Goodier) the director of Plastics by Design) who with his skill made a new plug and vac formed a selection of canopies. The original canopy had gone yellow over the 30 years of storage. A million thanks Simon you are a hero and have saved the whole project. The Supercar decals I purchased from a company I found online, Black Square Decals.
