For the last two years, we've partnered with Grand Valley State University and Pierce Cedar Creek Institute to raise, release, and track Eastern box turtles as part of a head-starting program. So far, we have released 29 turtles into the wild, each equipped with a radio transmitter and enough strength/size to have better chances of survival through the vulnerable first stages of life.
