You've ordered the iPhone 5 from the Apple store to avoid the crowds and waits. However you still need to get a Nano-SIM for the phone. This guide shows you how avoid the trip to your service provider and modify an existing Micro-SIM or Mini-SIM to a Nano-SIM.

Update: The nano sim has now been verified in an iPhone 5 with voice, data and SMS messages. However the the SIM used in the video was 3 years old and as such was not LTE enabled so the connection speed only showed 3G in an area with LTE coverage. To use LTE your SIM needs to be one that is LTE enabled.
Cutting a SIM is not for the faint hearted. There is a risk of damaging the SIM card or worse your iPhone. This is for the techno rebels out there who are not afraid of voiding their warranty. We take no responsibility for any damage that may result. Do so at your own risk and live the excitement.
