With all the rain and warm temperatures we have received lately, there will be several yards that get gray leaf spot. The grass will start to get "gray spots" on the blades and then shrivel up and die. The treatment for this is a fungicide application and then allowing the grass to dry out. You should also bag your grass clippings the next few cuts and throw them away into the trash. It may also be necessary to aerate the lawn to help with compaction and allow the roots to grow deeper. While it affects mostly St. Augustine grass, other types can be affected. We hope this helps, and check out our knowledge base for more tips: matthewslandscape.com/search
