We are fortunate that someone saw fit to record portions of Susan Johnson (one of Broadway's all-time greatest voices) live, in a stock production of "Bells Are Ringing," probably early '60s. Assuming that this recording is from Vancouver, as listed above, the leading man is probably Larry Douglas, Broadway's original "King and I" Lun Tha. "A Perfect Relationship," "Is It a Crime?" (3:56) and "The Party's Over" (11:39) are complete; the end of Act One (8:15) is included; and "Mu-Cha-Cha" and "Just In Time" (9:58) are heard in part. Presumably recorded through the house sound system. Particularly recommended: the short reprise of "Long Before I Knew You" (8:23) near the end of the first act, and "The Party's Over."
