As voting began for 288 assembly constituencies in Maharashtra on Monday, film fraternity stepped out with full enthusiasm to exercise their right to vote and lead a good example of being a responsible citizen. Actors like Madhuri Dixit, Dia Mirza, Lara Dutta with Mahesh Bhupathi, Riteish with Genelia Deshmukh, Ravi Kissan and others have so far cast their votes. Other celebrities are also expected to arrive throughout the day. In Maharashtra, the Assembly elections are being held as the Bharatiya Janata Party's Devendra Fadnavis' government will come to an end on November 9.
