Awareness raising and behaviour change have been at the centre of initiatives aimed at addressing antimicrobial resistance, a major European and global public health problem. Each year in November, activities promoting prudent use of antibiotics amongst different target audiences take place across the world, focusing on communicating and engaging with groups such as healthcare workers, veterinarians, farmers, academics, policy makers and the general public.
Recent attention has focused on the issues around communicating about antimicrobial resistance. From public health communicators to journalists, sharing information, raising awareness and overall helping different target audiences understand the topic is a major challenge.
On March 26, we have met online to talk about how to communicate #AMR.
