Hi Friends,
This is sometimes done in paddy field at 21 days after transplanting (DAT) to obtain maximum yield through profuse tillering. This operation is done in Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal and few other rice growing states in India. The weight should not be more than 10 kg. It enhances more tillers resulting better croo growth and ultimately maximum yield.
