This video is the webinar recording from our expert dialogue session on 22 January 2021: Government of Namibia - The Role of Civil Registration Systems in the Delivery of Emergency Cash Grants.
The APAI- CRVS Secretariat at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), the Centre of Excellence for CRVS Systems, and the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data (GPSDD) have hosted a virtual learning series to share good practices for facilitating the continuous and universal registration of vital events in Africa. These innovative approaches are mitigating the impact of COVID-19 on the performance of civil registration systems and are supporting the generation of data for health surveillance during a health crisis. The purpose of this series to inspire and guide efforts to enhance the functioning of CRVS systems during emergencies.
This learning series began with a webinar on 10 December 2020. Follow up expert dialogue sessions were held from 19-22 January 2021 to allow for a more interactive discussion around the topics presented in the webinar in smaller group settings.
