A drone of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine attacked the over-the-horizon long-range radar station "Voronezh M" in the city of Orsk of the Russian Federation. "Voronizh M" radar is part of the family of Russian stationary long-range over-the-horizon radar stations. They are designed to detect space and aerodynamic objects, in particular ballistic and cruise missiles. The radar in the Orenburg oblast controls the sector from t of the Mediterranean Sea.
Earlier, there was information that a drone had hit another radar station of this family, Voronezh DM, located in the village of Gluboky in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai. The strikes on the systems are a response to the nuclear exercises that Russia has started.
The country has started military exercises to practice the use of tactical nuclear weapons in order to demonstrate all its capabilities to the US and its allies. But the strikes on the systems showed that Russia's nuclear security can be destroyed.
