First, I'm sorry for the DVR lines. I'm pretty sure it's because I wired the TBS Unify to 5v rather than vBat. I couldn't find a vBat pad.... I had heard that you should always hook your vtx up to the highest voltage it can handle. This is probably one of those reasons.
Micro Apex 4".... wow. I figured it would be a beast. It's flight characteristics are of a light 5" Apex. I'm pretty sure that when I get a session and mount printed up, it'll feel I-Dentical to my 5" Apex's. Weight (no battery) is like 200-210g. The only thing it's missing from the 5" characteristics is the flingability. It flings, but not with as much gusto. Maybe when I add ~85-90g from the gopro stuff, it'll fling a little better. It flies forever with the 1300. I flew it on an 1100 as well, they all flew for solid 5m rips. It's ridiculous.
I do like how the 4" flies over the 3" Apex, but... it is basically just a smaller 5". Fast as shit, power out the Whazzu, maneuverable. However, I still need a smaller quad for smaller areas. The 3" does that better. Hell, if I could get an Apex style 2", I'd probably fly the shit outta that thing. I have a 2.5" Tadpole, but it's only like 80% of what I want. Just a little fast for the backyard and there are minor issues with the frame.
Anyway, super happy with the 4" Apex. I wish there were more prop options. However, I think the 4023's are pretty damn close to what I was looking for anyway. The 4" apex also looks like a smaller 5" Apex, proportion wise. The 3" kinda looks like a squished, Chibi style Apex. Lol. The 4" looks more the part.
