Andhra Style Spicy Mutton Curry Recipe is a flavourful mutton curry cooked in dry coconut-cashew based gravy alongwith some flavorful spices. Dried spices add an unbeatable depth of flavor as the ingredients simmer together. Mutton curry is delicious served with steamed rice, a salad, and raita. If you thicken the gravy, it tastes just as good with hot, freshly made chapatis.
Ingredients :
500 gms Mutton (Lamb or Goat Meat, curry cut with bones)
For Making Masala Paste
2 tsp Coriander Seeds (roasted)
¼ tsp Cumin Seed (roasted)
1 tsp Poppy Seeds (Khus Khus)
5 to 6 Cashewnuts
½ cup Dry Coconut (Copra)
1 stick Cinnamon
3 Green Cardamoms
3 to 4 Cloves
Water as required to make the paste
Other Ingredients :
2 to 3 tbsp Vegetable Oil
½ tsp Caraway Seeds (Shahi Jeera)
200 gms Onions (finely chopped)
2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
1 tbsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
½ tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder (the spicy one)
½ tsp Salt (or as per taste)
200 ml approx. Water
½ tsp Garam Masala Powder
3 to 4 tbsp Coriander Leaves
Note : tsp is teaspoon
tbsp is tablespoon
