Homemade Masala Fish Fry is a scrumptious starter dish made with a two step matination making the most tastiest, crispiest masala coating on the outside and flavoursome, flaky juicy fish pieces on the inside.
My Masala Fish Fry beats any restaurant style anyday! Served with a simple green chutney (I've linked that below) this makes the perfect starter or main meal. Just serve with fresh naan and salad.

See how I make my Masala Fish Fry
Ingredients:
600g of cod fillet, defrosted and cut into bite sized peices
4 tablespoons of plain flour and gram flour (besan) each
1 teaspoon of
salt
garam masala and dried fenugreek leaves
1/2 teaspoon of
chilli powder
dried chilli flakes
ground black pepper
chaat masala and ajwein seeds (carom seeds)
orange food colouring
1 teaspoon of cumin and coriander seeds (dry roasted and ground coarsely)
1/2 teaspoon of orange food colouring
Wet marinade ingredients
8 cloves of fresh garlic
3 Green chillies
1/2 teaspoon salt
juice of one whole lemon
