The 'Collaborative Data Action for Community Resilience' workshop was delivered at the Humanitech Summit 2024 on 20 November, developed and facilitated by ADM+S researchers Prof Anthony McCosker, Dr Awais Hameed Khan, Dr Dominique Carlon, Tracy de Cotta, Prof Paul Henman and Yong-Bin Kang.
Local knowledge and information are key to improving decision-making for preparedness and resilience in small communities. This workshop invited participants to explore the challenges and potential of community data for building community resilience with three key learning outcomes:
1. Explore a case study of community resource mapping and the goals of a community data-AI pipeline for disaster preparedness developed by Swinburne researchers as part of a partnership between Australian Red Cross and the ADM+S Centre.
2. Consider the potential and challenges in gathering useful local community data for building resilience and disaster preparedness.
3. Examine the links, forms of collaboration and techniques needed to activate local data action and how to get started.
This workshop is an output of the ADM+S project 'Critical Capabilities fro Inclusive AI'. Learn more: [ Ссылка ]
