It came as a shock for Mandie Moore and her husband when they found out their 10-year-old son Max was diagnosed with a disorder that only 1 in 58 million children have worldwide. But when Max’s little brother Chance was diagnosed with the exact same disorder, their worlds were turned upside down. The boys were diagnosed with ROHAAD (Rapid-onset Obesity with Hypothalamic dysfunction, Hypoventilation, and Autonomic Dysregulation) and were referred to Children’s Pediatric Pulmonologist Dr. Ajay Kasi who helped develop a comprehensive treatment plan for the boys who are now responding well.
