How can independent educational consultants best determine our students' preferences, values and interests, in order to provide more personalized guidance? Please join UC Irvine Extension in welcoming Julie Raynor Gross, President and Founder of Collegiate Gateway LLC, as she presents how the use of personality and interest assessment tools can be a powerful source of information and dialogue. The Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assesses innate personality type, and reveals students' strengths, challenges and preferences. It provides insight into our sources of energy, how we gather information, how we make decisions, and our life-style preferences. The Strong Interest Inventory (SII) identifies academics, activities, and occupational themes of interest. This webinar will explore how the combined MBTI-SII results can help IECs identify "best-fit" colleges and careers, and help students become more effective -- in their communication, essay-writing, learning approach, teamwork, relationships and decision-making. The webinar will also include pre-registration advisement for individuals interested in UC Irvine Extension's fully online Independent Educational Consultant Certificate Program.
