Ingredients :
- Baby spinach - 1/2 kg
- Green chili - 1
- Garlic paste- 1 tsp
- Ginger paste - 1 tsp
- Butter 🧈 - 1 tbsp
- Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp
- Chopped onions 🧅 - 1
- Chicken 🐔 - 1/4 kg
- Salt 🧂 - 1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder- 1 tsp
- Coriander powder- 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
- Kashmiri red chili powder- 1/2 tsp
- Ground black pepper- 1/4 tsp
- 50 ml of water
- Chopped tomatoes 🍅- 2
- Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
- Dried fenugreek leaves- 1/4 tsp
- Double cream - 2 tbsp
- Coriander leaves 🍃 - 1 tbsp
METHOD :
- Boil spinach for 3 minutes
- Remove and keep in ice cold water
- Combine spinach to a blender along with green chili, garlic and ginger paste and make into thick paste.
- Heat a pan , add butter and oil
- Add onions and saute until translucent
- Add the chicken , salt, cumin powder,coriander powder, turmeric powder, chili powder and ground black pepper. Come for 5 minutes.
- Add little water.
- Add the tomatoes and cook chicken until tender and tomatoes have cooked.
- Add the spinach and cook for 5 minutes
- Lastly garnish with
garam masala, dried fenugreek leaves, double cream and coriander leaves.
- Serve palak chicken with naan, chapatti or paratha.
