All lanes of Interstate 77 at Clanton Road were closed following a shooting and one person was hospitalized. The northbound lanes were closed at Exit 7 but eventually reopened.

“It was definitely scary. One of the most scariest moments in my life,” said a driver who wants to remain anonymous and spoke about the shooting with WCNC Charlotte.

The driver says she heard about seven gunshots and then saw cars scrambling to get out of the area.
