In this video i show you what i seem to not be able to find online. True san pedro identification, with hard research i gathered exactly what you need to know to identify a san pedro. Commonly misconstrued for echinopsis peruviana, peruvian apple cactus, or pc pachanoi that has been cloned so many times its lost its true genetics, the hair on the back of the flower turned white and it lacks mescaline. Assuming thats your intent, extracting from pc pachanoi or any of the others will result in being let down at the end of the day. These other cacti i named have smooth skin on the back of the flower, or white hair, the true, genuine, san pedro, has black. They all have the same flower, similarities in thorns and build. San pedro doesnt usually have more than two arms, meaning one thats rooted and 3-4 tops growing from that one. The rest usually branch off of branch off of branch. The fruits on san pedro are black and hairy, that fruits on others are not. White hair or no hair. San pedro doesnt have huge spines its more chunky and closer to being round. The spines on look alikes point upward at a 45 degree angle when san pedro (also called trichocereus ) lives up to its name and has TRI, three thorns on every areola . Lookalikes grow horizontal, san pedro does not usually. Hope this helps, and these descriptions range from treatment, location, species, of your plant so just because its not similar to mine doesnt mean its not san pedro there are many kinds. Also, feel free to message me to order rooted plants or seeds, i sell many kinds of cactus . Enjoy
