Join me to experience the thrill of the Gordon Murray Automotive T.50! It's Monterey Car Week, and I'm with the GMA team in California to bring you along for a first time discovering the 3-seat, fan equipped, manual NA V12 slice of perfection. It cannot really get much better than this!
We're joined by Phil Lee, GMA CEO, for a walk around of the models present in Carmel Valley with the team's setup at this year's Car Week, taking in the likes of T.50, a T.33 Coupe prototype, the new T.33 Spider, and of course the extreme T.50s Niki Lauda. However, today we're focusing on the first GMA production model, limited to only 106 cars and with 2 prototypes here in the California sunshine including one that previously visited The Shmuseum.
Next up, stepping into T.50 to join Steve Hayes, GMA's chief test driver, to head through the canyon roads and hear that V12 coming to life. T.50's ultimate focus is lightweight, and it tips the scales at a mere 997kg - only 40% of the weight of the new BMW M5 for example. There's a lot to discuss from the roll of the fan, to the driving modes, and the development work that's gone into creating the ultimate driving experience.
