Don't throw away the daikon leaves! They transform into an easy to make, super tasty ohitashi dish often served at izakaya restaurants!

If you can get your hands on it, buy daikon radish with the leaves intact. Boil them lightly and marinate in the dashi/shoyu sauce (preferably overnight) for a super tasty, healthy izakaya dish.
WHAT YOU NEED:
-Daikon radish leaves
-Dashi pack or katsuobushi
-Shoyu
-Shichimi pepper (optional)
WHAT TO DO:
Boil water
Boil Daikon leaves. (Boil stalks more than leaves)
Remove Daikon leaves and drain water
Boil water
Add Dashi
Add shoyu
Put Daikon leaves in Ziploc bag
Add dashi and shoyu to it
Marinate in fridge for minimum 2-3 hours
Leave overnight for best results
Add Shichimi pepper or other spice according to taste!
Done!
