I wanted to demystify getting on the Disney Transportation Buses from the resorts to the theme parks in a scooter to help put people's minds at ease.
Over the past several years, Disney has upgraded their buses to accommodate more mobility aids per bus with easier loading buses. You will often be the first on and the last off.
The drivers are so friendly and helpful and well trained to assist you. The bus will lower slightly on the side and a ramp will be extended. You will maneuver up the ramp and follow instructions on where to line up with the safety straps.
Once inside and in the correct position, the driver will add safety straps to tether your aide to the bus and insure you don't roll around. You will not have to transfer in or out of your device.
Once you have reached your destination the driver will unstrap you and you will carefully exit the bus. If you don't want to wait for a bus and don't mind spending some money then I recommend using the Minnie Van service in the mornings to get to the theme parks without delays. I will cover that in a future video.
Disney's transportation is really accessible and makes it easy to get to all of the fun around the resorts. If you're worried about transportation once you arrive - don't. Disney has you covered. Keep on rolling!
