New Amsterdam Travel Video- The Brijuni National Park and Lim Fjord are our destinations in the 3rd episode of our Incredible Istrian journey. Brijuni National Park consists of 14 islands off of the Istrian coast and the main area of the park is on the biggest island of Veliki Brijun. We hopped aboard a ferry in Fanzana for the 15 minute trip to the island. From there we walked to discover two big sites of ancient, Roman ruins; a safari park with animals; a Mediterranean garden and real dinosaur footprints. We even found a beautiful beach cove for a cool-down swim. The island is very lush, green and well maintained. The setting of Roman pillars against green grass pastures and crystal blue bays is stunning. The next day we explored the natural wonder, Lim Fjord- a natural canal of water cutting through the green hills from the Adriatic Sea inland. We scouted beautiful vista views; the point where the water finally ends; and rode through the fjord on a small pirate ship. Finally, we enjoyed cocktails at sunset in the town of Vrsar.
