Trafford Council have coned off a full lane of the A56 from the border with Manchester stretching almost to Sale. Three of us had a ride along it to see how it feels, and are baffled at Manchester City Council's refusal to play ball. If we are to avoid more people using cars than our roads can cope with, this is exactly the type of intervention we need to enable people to cycle to key destinations. Well done Trafford. Manchester - sort it out!
