First, turn off your firewall through System Preferences, Security & Privacy. You will be asked to log in before you can turn off the firewall. If this does not fix the problem the second option is to check for updates in iTunes/Music is updated through the App Store. If this didn't solve the problem, the third option is to restart your MacBook as well as your iPhone and then try again. Also check whether your Mac needs to be updated.
