A North African tradition handed down many generations.Every Purim I make these and reminisce about my childhood and my very special mother who baked these for us every Purim. Use any challah recipe . Be sure to include fennel seeds in the dough or just on top - they have a wonderful aroma and make the bread taste extra special!
