Poppy and I were meant to be having a weekend away, in Wales, with friends... but sometimes life doesn't go to plan! We were in Leeds and watched online as parkruns were cancelled Friday night and Saturday morning. Our local parkrun (Woodhouse Moor parkrun) rarely cancels, so although not the parkrun tourism we had planned, we were hopeful that we could parkrun there. Then at 8:15 am the course at Woodhouse Moor parkrun was declared unsafe and the event cancelled!
Just when it looked like we'd have to miss out on our parkrun fix (in the UK there were 280 less parkrun events held mainly due to Storm Arwen) we saw that Roundhay parkrun had switched to their winter course and were going ahead! We managed to make it over to Roundhay parkrun and attempt a parkrun. Here is the story of our run!
