On a personal level I think this is such an amazing scene. It touches me deeply for some intrinsic reason. Maybe because it's a story of Triumph where you're rooting for the person to overcome his obstacles. And then when he does, and he discovers who he is as a person after years of internal conflict and struggle - you just feel a tremendous sense of joy for him. And hopefully we all do as well in identifying those times within ourselves when we overcome adversity and felt like we could finally be liberated of the burdens that held us down in the past.
