The following are the steps to changing your outer tire rod end, specifically for the Mazda 3.
1) Jack up your car
2) Remove tire
3) Remove codder pin. I used a pair needle nose pliers
4) Remove top outer nut. I used a 14mm deep socket.
5) Remove inner nut with. I used a pair of locking pliers.
6) Remove old rod end.
7) Replace with new rod end (My aftermarket model does NOT use a codder pin AND comes pre-greased)
8) Tighten both top outer nut AND inner nut.
9) Torque top outer nut to 35ft.lb.
10) Put tire back on.
