More than $20tn worth of M&A deals have been reached worldwide since 2014. Low-interest rates, rising stock prices, and economic growth have all played a part. Despite a few short-lived slowdowns in activity, the blockbuster deals have kept coming, particularly in the US. But there is one thing that could bring this deal party to an end.
