There's something special about the look and finish of the Night Warrior to me. I'm not a fan of single-stack 1911's, but this one is the exception. Finish is matte black on the slide and dark matte on the lower. It's serious. Professional. A color duo that just works well together. Tokyo Marui does their job to make the surfaces look realistic. A few silver accents here and there complete the look.
The pistol feels great in the hand. Tight. All the components are snug. The grips look nice, though I have to admit, they are a bit slippery. I like the real-steel Hogue wraparounds and they fit TM 1911s, so I'd recommend that.
One of the best part are the sights. They're NOVAKs and they're mighty pleasing to the eye. Out of all the TM sights I've had the pleasure of looking through, these are the nicest.
Accuracy is good, as to be expected. Blowback is instantaneous. Super quick because the slide and recoil spring are lightweight. It doesn't have the same gas efficiency as a Hi-Capa, though. A simple glance at the magazine size will tell you why. After ~15 shots, cycling starts to slow down. Sometimes it will not finish a magazine loaded to the top with bbs, so I recommend loading 4 or 5 rounds short of full capacity. Eliminate these issues by running the 40rd extended magazine.
Out of the box, the trigger is a little reluctant on the reset (a stronger leaf spring would do the trick), but you can simply turn the screw within it a few times to eliminate the slack. I've gotten used to it.
So do I recommend this little pistol? I'll take this over any WE or KJW gun any day. The critical boxes are checked and then some.
Does it work? Yes.
Reliably? You bet.
Does it shoot accurately? Yes
Do the mags leak? Never.
If you are a 1911 fan, don't look any further than the Tokyo Marui 1911's.
