On October 25, 2011 JaGeX introduced a project released code-named "ClusterFlutterer". It was launched to permanently prevent "reflection" bots from working again.
This video is here to show you how botting affected the overall RuneScape gameplay, and most important show you how many botters there truly were. Before "Bot Nuke Day" there was an average online player count of 200,000 in the afternoons, and after "Bot Nuke Day" there is an average of 85,000 players online. This means that the amount of people that botted was near, if not more than 60% of the people online at a time.
So far, their update has proven to work and let's hope their efforts to stop botters will continue.
