I've been doing lot of woodturning lately and needed to sharpen some of my gouges. Althrough the vertical base is very usefull for sharpening straight chisels & hand plane blades, it is not very usefull for roughing gouges & other woodturning tools.

I decided to make the horizontal base similar to the XB-100 jig proposed by Tormek.

I'm very satisfied with the result as it is very robust. The only thing is that i still cannot use it as I do not have the proper jigs (eg: SVS-50). I my next video I'll be making the SVS-38 and SVS-50 jigs.
