This is a very good telescope to pursue your interest in astronomy and astrophotography with. This is a setup and review of my new Orion ED80T CF Triplet Apochromatic Refractor Telescope. I wanted to add a wide field telescope to my astronomy / astrophotography equipment collection so I could image larger targets. I intend to use this telescope with my Celestron AVX mount and save the heavier loads for the CGX mount. The target today was the Orion (M42) and Running Man Nebula and I captured them in LRGB with my ZWO ASI1600mm-cool mono camera. Here are the telescope details:
Optical Design: Refractor - Apochromatic
Telescope Aperture: 3.15"
Telescope Focal Length: 480mm
Telescope Focal Ratio: f/6
Highest Useful Magnification: 160x
Limiting Stellar Magnitude:12.2
Optical Coating: Fully Multi-Coated
