Let's take a virtual tour over Kushtia City, today's destination Fakir Lalon Shah's Akhrah in Cheuriya, 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) from Kushtia railway station. Baul Samrat Lalon Fakir was buried here. Fakir Lalon ( 1772 – 1890 ) was a prominent bengali philosopher, bail saint, mystic, songwriter, social reformer and thinker from the Indian subcontinent. He founded the institute known as Lalon Akhrah in Cheuriya, every year on the occasion of his death anniversary, thousands of his disciples and followers assemble at Lalon Akhrah, and pay homage to him through celebration and discussion of his songs and philosophy for three days. source: wikipedia

This is one of the popular tourist spot in Kushtia district which I have visited in my north Bengal tour.
