Mithapur bus stand located in Patna, the capital of Bihar, can be closed anytime after July 20. Instead, all passenger buses will open from the newly constructed Patliputra Bus Terminal at Bairia. Anand Kishor, Principal Secretary, Urban Development and Housing Department, gave this instruction in a meeting held with the officers. After the implementation of this decision, the distance from Patna Junction to the bus stand will more than double. At the same time, people leaving and catching the train at Patliputra Junction and Danapur station will also have to cover more distance to reach the bus stand.
